i was wondering how this part of the bible can be taken seriously.

Interesting. "IF" is one of the biggest words in the English language. The possibilities and scenarios are endless-almost. However, what is written down -- for OUR benefit -- shall come to pass without fail or transgression.
Trying to put this in human terms:
The future in this case has apparently already been written. Satan WAS perfect. A "perfect" being is judged differently than a being that is not in a sovereign state of perfection. Satan sinned. The penalty for sin is death. Satan has already been judged by Jehovah. Satan's punishment will be carried out in God's own time. The bottom line is that Satan will die and be permanently destroyed. Until then, he and his followers shall carry out fulfillment of any prophecy that applies to him (Satan) and his minions and shall continue to test Mankind.

i don?t know how many caught this, but the watchtower of march 1st, seems to put a new twist on a familiar watchtower theme of power and control by the gb.

did you notice the last 3 paragraphs of the last study article?

to me, they?re pregnant with hidden meaning, that is, regarding the power struggle that has been going on since the creation of a plethora of corporations a few years ago.. .

Like I have said before and posted on this forum; Changes are on it's way! Some JWs however, can't seem to get past the "pride" issue. Now there is also the legal aspect of loosing everything and maybe even jail time for some. But a lot of that is buried in legal mumbo-jumbo and psyco-babble crapola.

i went to the link provided and when reading the sample letter decided to check out the 11-22-98 issue of the awake mentioned as being "un propaganda".

now... the first time i read this, i was shocked that i had read it before without blinking an eye as a jw.

Hang in there. Take one day at a time and try not to stress so much on all the things you mentioned. There is a GOD and in your private prayers, ask him for peace and understanding. You DON't have to prove anything to the WTB&TS. Plug along each day and think about how you can please GOD and don't worry about the WTB&TS so much. Take the bothersome parts and teachings of these trials and tribulations with a grain of salt.

Heaven's doors were NOT closed in 1935. The GB have made several super blunders through out the years. This is only one of quite a few.
And the light keeps getting brighter...........................................

Did you know you can be df for: Just about anything the "ruling class" wants to make an issue of. JWs mainly just push you away by elevating their nose a little higher in the air and by the subtle whispers and spy Vs spy games. It is truly fascinating psychology!
